I’ve always had a passion for baking, and during my time at Sundance Catalog, I organized a monthly department bake-off to share that enthusiasm with my coworkers. Each month, we chose a theme or featured ingredient, and everyone brought in a homemade dish to share. Inspired by the creativity and stories behind each recipe, I came up with the idea to create a company cookbook. I collected recipes from employees across all departments, organizing them into sections for appetizers, entrees, and desserts. Contributors also had the option to include a personal note about why the recipe was meaningful to them or where it came from. It was a rewarding experience that not only brought people together through food but also celebrated the diverse backgrounds and traditions within the company.
